Responsibilities

As a Digital Lawyer intern, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of legal issues related to digital media, such as copyright, data protection, and content regulation. You will assist in drafting and reviewing contracts, providing legal advice on digital products, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. You will also work closely with other legal and business teams within the BBC to deliver high-quality legal advice.

Qualifications

To be eligible for this internship, you should be a law student who is currently enrolled in an accredited law program. You should also have a strong academic record and excellent communication skills. Experience or coursework related to technology or media law would be an asset but not a requirement.

Experience

While prior legal experience is not required, you should have a genuine interest in technology and digital media, and an eagerness to learn about the legal issues surrounding them. You should also be able to work independently and collaboratively, and have excellent attention to detail.

Skills

In addition to strong communication skills and attention to detail, you should have a strong analytical and problem-solving skills. You should be able to think creatively and approach legal problems from multiple perspectives. Familiarity with relevant legal frameworks and principles would be an asset.
